The 部门 of Music and 戏剧艺术 seeks to prepare students to effectively pursue graduate theatre studies or eng年龄 in the professional and/or educational arena from a grounded Christian worldview. Students have the opportunity to perform a wide variety of theatrical genres in various venues and/or work as designers, 技术人员, 在剧院管理方面. Students will study and apply the practical knowledge of the theatre’s historical and theoretical herit年龄; those pursuing the BSE degree will master the necessary knowledge and skills as outlined in TEKS for all-level education students. 1. Graduates with a major in theatre arts on the BA degree will demonstrate an understanding of theatre history.
2. Graduates with a major in theatre arts on the BA degree will demonstrate an understanding of performance practice and theory through practical experience in both acting and directing.
3. Graduates with a major in theatre arts on the BA degree will demonstrate knowledge of and skills in the design and technical aspects of theatre production.
4. Graduates with a major in theatre arts on the BA degree will be able to articulate their Christian worldview in light of current theatre practice as well as historical relationships between the church and theatre arts.
